This is the first of three popular, practical creative writing workshops that enable you to bring the story of your ancestors to life. The workshops guide you through the different phases of writing and editing. You have the opportunity to actively engage in writing and producing your family history.
At the end of the three workshops you will be working towards having a body of work ready for publication or display.
Workshop 2 aims to develop your writing further, including:
- Using secondary materials that relate to an area, people, trades, an historical period or the experiences of your ancestors, such as biographies, autobiographies, memoirs and oral histories;
- Building background material;
- Dealing with family stories, missing pieces and anomalies.
Gill also offers an analysis of your work and a review of your progress.
Due to the intensive nature of this workshop, spaces are limited.
Please note that you must attend Workshop 1 on 2nd Nov before you attend this second Workshop.
Cost: Payment required - £35.00; discounted for Members of Society of Genealogists £28.00
